Designer, Lyndsey D. Butler grew up going back and forth between Texas and the family ranch in Argentina. She graduated from NYU and begun working in fashion in New York City before moving to Hollywood to further pursue her career. VEDA launched in 2008 dedicated to leather and all of its possibilities.VEDA is the fashionista's answer to the Holy Grail search for the perfect leather jacket, creating super flattering, well fitting cuts from the softest leather.

4 weeks to go!

Our Venessa Arizaga shipment arrived today and I've had the best time playing around with the pieces and channeling the amazing Man Repeller with my amateur arm party below.

I can't describe how amazing each piece looks and feels. It's like opening a present each time you look at a different piece because they are all enclosed in their own individual box and once you slide out the insert and remove the foam piece you reveal the amazingness that is Venessa Arizaga. Always a little bit edgy and quirky, never boring!

5 Weeks & Counting!

It has been a busy few weeks as hubby, Bickie and I move onto our next location. We've now settled into our new home and nerves are starting to set in as Basically Boutique (www.basicallyboutique.com) goes live in 5 weeks!

I have so many exciting details to share with you about our upcoming photo shoot, launch and new brands to introduce you to but those details will have to wait a little longer. For now, here is an instagram update of our latest arrivals.

Coming Along!

Basically Boutique is coming along nicely!

Making huge progress with the website - products have been loaded and we are working out the finer details.

Stock has started to arrive - this has to be my favourite part - I can now play dress ups, I mean shortly we'll be able to do the photoshoot!

PHOTOSHOOT!!! I've got the greatest team on board and I really feel like the photographer and I have the same vision for the shoot, which has me feeling cool calm and collected.

I plan on organising a really intimate viewing of the collection at some point before the launch, which will be 1 July 2012.

As Basically Boutique is a smaller start up sizes and stock levels are seriously limited, to thank my twitter, facebook and bloglovin supporters I'm making arrangements to let everyone shop the site earlier than the general public!
